Key Priorities

Sustainable development with genuine community consultation

  • Restore fairness to the development approval and planning process with community views being genuinely considered.
  • Promote sustainable infill which values green spaces and ensures healthy, liveable neighbourhoods.
  • Ensure integrity in the development process by banning property developer donations to politicians as in NSW, QLD and ACT.
  • Be guided by community, rather than vested interests, when advocating for local projects enhancing safety such as the Wellington Street underpass. Our electorate should not continue to be underfunded for community infrastructure.

Better public health

  • Greater access to youth mental health services, as well as increased funding and research into prevention of youth mental illness.
  • Follow advice of public health experts by increasing investment in illness prevention and health promotion.
  • Support and retention of health care staff to ensure better delivery of, and access to, medical services.
  • Better support for those affected by family violence, including improved access to accommodation and financial assistance.

A greener and economically smarter future for Cottesloe

  • Protect our local environment for future generations including setting tree canopy targets and protecting large trees on private land.
  • Provide certainty for industry and power our energy transition by advocating for a WA emissions reduction target by 2035.
  • Follow evidence-based policy by supporting the cheapest and cleanest pathway for WA’s energy transition, underpinned by renewables with storage.
  • Calling for a range of smart household subsidies including batteries and electrification support.
